“On this tour don’t wear nice shoes they will get wet. I wished our family was told this as when you get off the boat into the island and vice a versa you have to step into the ocean. The boat doesn’t completely dock in the sand. Secondly bring water. They do not have cups for water in the island and only have liter bottles of water. The food was mediocre. Talking with the locals after the show they use frozen chicken and stuff in the lovo bc they’re feeding a ton of people so yes it’s understandable but the food is very bland. Bus broke down and we had to wait for a new bus. On the way back we started on a big bus then got put on a small bus that could barely go and then had to do an extra 35 kms dropping off to other hotels. “Castaway Island is starting to look a little worn down, so no longer the luxury day trip it used to be. The lunch used to be a la carte for day guests, but is now buffet. Whilst a la carte would be preferable, the buffet was a good one, and the Mongolian style bbq worked well. However really disappointingly the Adult pool, whilst billed as such, was full of loud children and families. Nobody seemed to control this from the resort. Timely hotel pick ups, well organised ticketing and catamaran boarding. Comfortable, well air conditioned and friendly staff”
